Darren is an Associate Director having worked at NDY since February 2012 since relocating from the UK with 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. Darren’s expertise crosses a wide range of projects/sectors covering Retail , Transport (Aviation), Cultural, Industrial, Educational, Health and projects.
Darren is experienced in and responsible for running successful multi-disciplinary teams providing a holistic design solutions in combination with the Client, Architect and Engineers to meet, and exceed, both the demands of the client and the sustainability targets within the modern construction industry.
Darren advocates safe, high quality and sustainable design and fully embraces BIM/Revit based automated design and construction techniques (including pre-fabrication and off-site assembly) as key elements of modern project delivery.
Ed is the Chief Operations Officer of Energy-Tec, who provide their clients with technical and advisory services to the energy industry. Energy-Tec deliver solutions across electricity, gas, water and renewables; from strategic planning and roadmaps, to smart metering and billing reconciliation services. Energy-Tec has become Western Australia’s market leader in Embedded Network Management and smart metering and billing outcomes, and rolling out smart metering, battery storage solutions and electric vehicle charger solutions based on electrical infrastructure requirements.
Commencing his career in the Oil and Petroleum industry, Ed brings over 19 years’ experience in senior executive roles such as State Manager, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer roles across property related and professional services sectors (Technical and Consulting). Ed has also worked for a major international property company developing new major shopping centre assets and running major centres on the east coast of Australia.
Ed has formal tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Information Systems, Retailing and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ed has been an active Director in the NFP sector for fifteen years and forms part of the Property Council of Australia’s WA Retail Property Committee. Ed has a passion for renewables and coaching people.
Prue Cunningham is a Development Manager for Stockland’s Western Australian Commercial Property business. With 14 years’ experience in property, she is passionate about retail place-making and environmentally and economically sustainable development. Prue has worked on both greenfield and brownfield retail projects in Perth’s key growth corridors.
Prue was responsible for delivering the award-winning $116 million redevelopment and expansion of Stockland Baldivis shopping centre, and the $51 million shopping centre at Harrisdale. More recently, she has been focused on leading the master planning and approvals of Activity Centres on some of Stocklands key projects in WA . Prue is also a committee member on the Property Council of WA Retail Committee.
Rob Staniford is Portfolio Manager for ISPT’s WA portfolio which has a value of $1.5 Billion and comprises 10 commercial and retail assets across the Perth Greater Metropolitan Area. As part of that role, Rob has recently been a senior member of the management team for the $350 Million Mandurah Forum and $100 Million Forrest Chase redevelopments.
Upon arriving in Australia from the United Kingdom in 2012, Rob commenced with ISPT as a Senior Property Investment Manager, progressing to Portfolio Manager, Retail - a senior role leading the national retail investment team which manages ISPT’s $17 billion property portfolio across the country.
Rob has also held significant roles with Westfield in the United Kingdom, working as General Manager, Operations at Westfield London and General Manager at Westfield Stratford City. These are iconic centres within the Greater London area and Westfield London is the largest shopping centre in Europe having a retail floor area of 242,000 sqm. Westfield Stratford City at 177,000 sqm is the second largest urban shopping centre in the European Union. Adding to this extensive property experience, Rob has also worked across operations, property management and leasing.
Malcolm is Director for Retail at Harvis Corporation; an investment management, turnaround restructuring and funding and company; active across resources, agricultural, industrial and retail property markets.
Malcolm has over 35 years’ experience in retail and asset management, across shopping centres and department stores in Australia and South Africa. Prior to Harvis, Malcolm was regional asset manager, WA at Lendlease Investment Management, responsible for the financial delivery of 5 Lendlease retail assets in WA; and prior to this, regional manager for Scentre Group, looking after the 3 WA Westfield shopping centres.
Malcolm had spent 12 years running David Jones in the Perth CBD, and a time with DJ’s in Adelaide. Before relocating to Australia, he spent 13 years with the Edgars group in South Africa, leading the development of a new CBD flagship department store of 32,000 sqm, in downtown Johannesburg.
Malcolm has led large retail teams in WA, across all disciplines, from management, marketing, operations, supporting teams across development, leasing, casual mall leasing, design and tenancy support; focusing on financial management, customer service and strategic investment fund delivery. He is a passionate retail advocate on the challenges facing the industry, understanding current economic trends, changes to buying habits, and emerging international and competitive digital channels.
Malcolm has served on the CCI WA board as an industry nominated member; is a past chair and current member of the Property Council WA Retail Committee, chaired the Retail Traders Association of WA, and has served on the board of the Perth Fashion Festival. He currently a board director for Activate Perth, and has been a WA judge of the PCA Retail Property Awards; and is a current mentor for the PCA WA 500 Women in Property mentoring program.
Malcolm is a licensed real estate agent.
Alison Reid is a well established property professional with a career spanning more than 25 years. With roles spanning Australia and New Zealand, Alison started in centre management
and today is General Manager Shopping Centres and Development for Hawaiian Pty Ltd – a West Australian based private property group, leading the industry in Perth.
Having worked in funds management for much of her career, Alisons’ hands on approach in property investment, asset management and development projects is highly regarded
and seen her work recognised with industry awards and commendation.
Many within the property sector today have been mentored and trained under Alison’s management. Her passion for industry excellence is highly regarded and is evident in the types
of projects Alison has managed. Some of the more notable projects include Brookfield Place Perth, Claremont Quarter, Chatswood Chase, Riverbank Parramatta and QVB.
Troy Leber is the Head of Property Finance at Bankwest. He has previously worked for Westpac Group, KPMG Australia, J.P Morgan Asset Management and Mazars.
Troy has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), majoring in Accounting Law at the University of Western Australia.
Andrew Denny is a Senior Director of the Perth office of CBRE. He is responsible for managing the Office Leasing department. He has over 30 years of office leasing experience in the Perth CBD, and is the most experienced and successful operator in the Perth market today. He was involved with the pre-leasing of the new CBD office developments such as QV.1, in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, and recently Perth’s premier office precinct the 75,000 sqm Brookfield Place Tower 1 and 33,000 sqm Tower 2 developments.
Andrew has negotiated leases in virtually all the office buildings in the Perth CBD, including all six of Perth’s premium grade buildings. He has been involved in a dominant share of Perth’s major office leasing transactions over the last twenty years, including the largest new leasing deals in Perth CBD for 6 years in a row from 1998 – 2003. In 2004 he negotiated the largest new lease transaction by an agent for 21 years and in 2006 the third largest transaction by an agent ever in the Perth CBD.
Andrew commenced his career with Hooker Corporate in 1986 becoming an Associate Director of the company in 1993. In 1994 he joined CBRE and was made an Associate Director the following year. In 1999 he was made a Director of the company, and in 2004 a Senior Director.
He was an in augural year winner of the CBRE Circle of Excellence Award for the year 1999, and a winner again in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He is the most prolific winner of the award in CBRE history. In 2004 he was named Professional of the Year for CBRE in Australia and New Zealand, the company’s top award.
Andrew is Chair of the Property Council of Australia Commercial Committee in Western Australia, and is the Chair of judges for the WA Property Awards (Commercial) which is Western Australia’s top property award.
David is an experienced Consulting Engineer with 20+years’ experience within the Built Environment covering diverse sectors including Commercial Property, Defence; Government, Energy & Resources, Water and Transport. Key areas of focus have been Sustainability, Asset/Facilities Management and HVAC within both Greenfield projects and existing assets.
Jemma was recently with the Knight Frank office leasing in Melbourne for 3 years after 5 years at Regus serviced offices. Her final role at Regus was General Manager which has provided her with a profound understanding of the Co-working industry.
Jemma has developed a detailed knowledge of the leasing market which has resulted in many successful outcomes for her clients. Jemma’s market knowledge and proactive approach has seen her complete a multitude of leasing transactions and is a key member within the industry.
Jemma relocated to Perth just over 2 years ago and is now Head of Leasing at Primewest. This position allows Jemma to be on the ground and across the market from an agents prospective for the Landlord. Her role involves the Leasing Management of agents and all leasing transactions across the Primewest’s portfolio nationally.
Nick O’Hara is a Regional Director at IA Design with over 25 years of industry experience focussing on the delivery of workplace and building refurbishment / upgrade projects. As Director of the Perth Studio, Nick specialises in the management of all contractual, legal and staffing matters, ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of all Studio projects.
Nick has extensive experience in supporting the nominated design team in the project delivery of major fitouts and refurbishments. With a clear appreciation of project risks and how to mitigate these in terms of time, cost and quality, Nick supports the design team from the outset of each project to ensure that Client expectations are achieved.
